“Remember. Remember The 5th of November”

V FOR VENDETTA

V FOR VENDETTA (Photo credit: Adam Crowe)

So…once more we come to Guy Fawkes day. The day celebrated and, of late, remembered as a result of the 2005 movie ” V For Vendetta“. My question to you is this. Can any of you think of a reason to protest anything your government is doing currently?

Obviously I am not advocating any form of violence against individuals or even infrastructure as that path becomes self-defeating rather quickly. What I am saying is this. Find a way to voice your anger. Write on your blog. Add something to your Facebook page. Hell-send a letter to the editor of your local newspaper but do something.

The Governments of the world are in direct opposition now to the interests of the people who live on this planet. It is time we stood up, for those who have not been doing so, and let them know we know!!! The truth of the matter is that they are a bunch of rats that live in the dark and only attack when they can gang up on those who have become separated from the crowd. The young, the poor, the aged, the disabled.

When the rest of us choose to become protective of those who cannot protect themselves and say NO MORE, things will begin to change. One example where people can stand up is in Colorado where this tax on cannabis will put the use of pot back into government control and will push the people who truly need it, or just want to use it for their own pleasure to a place where it is financially beyond their reach. A new black market will then start up and the drug war will continue.

Whatever the cause you choose, choose something today to speak out against. The Wars in…well where aren’t we fighting wars now? Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, Iraq, several African nations and soon Iran. How about the NSA, CIA, TSA, DHS ect. ect. Or Fracking for gas or Fuckishima (It was deliberate). Or the fact that our President is quoted in a new book as saying he is “good at killing”.

Anyway, I am sure that everyone can come up with at least one thing that really bothers them about the US Government or whatever government claims to rule over them. Speak out. Be An Anarchist for a day!

Anarchism is a set of political philosophies that hold the state to be undesirable, unnecessary, or harmful

Disturbing record of American-trained forces – The Hill’s Congress Blog

Speaking in South Korea on Tuesday the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Martin Dempsey noted that the United States might begin training a “moderate opposition” in the Syrian Civil War. General Dempsey further noted the United States’s “incredible experience” when it comes to training foreign fighters and hinted at possible past successes. Herein lies the problem. While the United States’s record on training foreign forces in times of conflict is certainly “incredible” it is anything but positive. A simple review of recent history can demonstrate this.

Data-gate Shows We’re On the Cusp by Justin Raimondo — Antiwar.com

… Between liberty and tyranny

by , August 14, 2013
It’s a small detail, in the general scheme of things, but one indicative of a troubling recent trend: when Congress voted on reauthorization of the Patriot Act, in 2011, the administration sent summaries [.pdf] to the House intelligence committee describing – without going into too much detail – the data dragnet conducted by the NSA under section 215. “We believe that making this document available to all members of Congress, as we did with a similar document in December 2009, is an effective way to inform the legislative debate about the reauthorization of Section 215,” read the cover letter accompanying the documents. Apparently Rep. Mike Rogers, the neocon tool who heads up the committee, didn’t agree: the summaries were never seen outside the committee.

Well…I’m not sure whether this is real or not but it certainly goes along with much that I have observed over the years. If it is real we as people need to reconcile ourselves to the battle for our very souls because these people want to enslave all of us for their vision of a better world. And BTW check out the Georgia Guidestones if you want to know what the plan is that he keeps mentioning in the video. (E)

The White House Has No Credibility

Don’t always agree with all Baldwin says. I am NOT a Constitutionalist but still can agree with him on issues of liberty.  The crap seems to be hiitin’ the fan for O and company. Unfortunately, the Bush cartel is still on the loose and playing their control games behind the scenes. BTW none of these politicians complaining are without guilt unless you would count those only in office  the past couple of years. They MAY NOT have blood on their hands yet. All others need to go to trial for treason-yeah right. (E)

Holy Cow, Martha! Will miracles never cease? Chuck Baldwin and the New York Times editorial board actually agree. Are we in the Twilight Zone? Is it Freaky Friday? Is the Times editorial board reading my columns and seeing the light or am I watching CNN and MSNBC too much? I know I don’t watch those two propaganda outlets too much, and I doubt the Times editorial board pays too much attention to what I write, so what is going on?

On June 6, the editorial board of the New York Times posted a column that yours truly could have written. The column was entitled “President Obama’s Dragnet.” The editorial begins:

“Within hours of the disclosure that federal authorities routinely collect data on phone calls Americans make, regardless of whether they have any bearing on a counterterrorism investigation, the Obama administration issued the same platitude it has offered every time President Obama has been caught overreaching in the use of his powers: terrorists are a real menace and you should just trust us to deal with them because we have internal mechanisms (that we are not going to tell you about) to make sure we do not violate your rights.

“Those reassurances have never been persuasive–whether on secret warrants to scoop up a news agency’s phone records or secret orders to kill an American suspected of terrorism–especially coming from a president who once promised transparency and accountability.

“The administration has now lost all credibility on this issue. Mr. Obama is proving the truism that the executive branch will use any power it is given and very likely abuse it. That is one reason we have long argued that the Patriot Act, enacted in the heat of fear after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks by members of Congress who mostly had not even read it, was reckless in its assignment of unnecessary and overbroad surveillance powers.”

The editorial goes on to say, “Essentially, the administration is saying that without any individual suspicion of wrongdoing, the government is allowed to know whom Americans are calling every time they make a phone call, for how long they talk and from where.

“This sort of tracking can reveal a lot of personal and intimate information about an individual. To causally permit this surveillance–with the American public having no idea that the executive branch is now exercising this power–fundamentally shifts power between the individual and the state, and it repudiates constitutional principles governing search, seizure and privacy.”

The Times editorial concludes by saying, “On Thursday, representative Jim Sensenbrenner, Republican of Wisconsin, who introduced the Patriot Act in 2001, said that the National Security Agency overstepped its bounds by obtaining a secret order to collect phone log records from millions of Americans.

“‘As the author of the Patriot Act, I am extremely troubled by the F.B.I.’s interpretation of this legislation,’ he said in a statement. ‘While I believe the Patriot Act appropriately balanced national security concerns and civil rights, I have always worried about potential abuses.’ He added: ‘Seizing phone records of millions of innocent people is excessive and un-American.’

“Stunning use of the act [Patriot Act] shows, once again, why it needs to be sharply curtailed if not repealed.”

See The New York Times editorial here:

President Obama’s Dragnet

First of all, the Patriot Act introduced by Sensenbrenner and passed into law in 2001 had been introduced before (almost word-for-word) during the Clinton administration. It was soundly defeated by Republican majorities in both the US House and Senate. Then after 9-11, these same Republicans passed the Patriot Act into law. And you read that the principal sponsor of the Act in the House, Jim Sensenbrenner, said he had “always worried about potential abuses.” Then why the heck did he and the rest of the Republicans in the House and Senate pass the darn thing? You know why. Back in 2001, a Republican was in the White House. As we have seen time and time again, party partisanship usually trumps loyalty to the Constitution on Capitol Hill.

Think about it: when Democrat Bill Clinton was President, Democrats on Capitol Hill strongly supported what became known as the Patriot Act; and Republicans opposed it. But when Republican G.W. Bush was President, Republicans supported (and passed) the Patriot Act; and Democrats opposed it. Remember: it was the same bill! What made the difference? The party occupying the White House. Yet, even the chief sponsor of the Patriot Act, Jim Sensenbrenner, said he “always worried about potential abuses.” Well, now we know his worries were justified.

Wouldn’t it be nice if just once members of Congress (from both parties) would choose to err on the side of liberty and constitutional government instead of tyranny and Big-Government?

Secondly, the abuses of power by the White House under the guise of the Patriot Act have been going on ever since the darn thing was passed. Barack Obama is no guiltier of trampling the Bill of Rights than G.W. Bush. It was Bush who pushed through, not only the Patriot Act, but the Military Commissions Act and the NDAA, all of which give the executive branch of the federal government unconstitutional authority to abuse the rights and liberties of the American people.

I even recall when G.W. Bush appeared before the United Nations shortly after ordering the invasion of Iraq and told that body the reason Iraq was invaded was for the “peace and credibility of the United Nations.”

See Bush’s speech to the UN here:

George W. Bush Addresses The UN

I didn’t know the United Nations had any credibility worth saving. Furthermore, I thought the US armed forces were supposed to fight to preserve the safety and liberty of the United States. You mean to tell me that American forces were sent into Iraq for the benefit of the “peace and credibility of the United Nations”? Egad. I wonder if Bush and Obama are using federal police powers against the American citizenry for the same reason that US troops were used against Iraq: for the “peace and credibility of the United Nations.” I think it is safe to say that anyone who would abuse US troops to fulfill the machinations of the United Nations would have no hesitation to abuse US citizens for the same reason. In other words, everything that G.W. Bush started, Barack Obama is continuing–both in regard to the wars waged in the Middle East and in the abuse of liberties in the United States.

The rubric for all of this abuse is the “War on Terror,” with the Patriot Act serving as the cornerstone piece of legislation authorizing it and the Department of Homeland Security serving as the cornerstone agency enforcing it. The net result is perpetual war abroad and a burgeoning police state at home.

The New York Times is right: the Obama White House has no credibility on this issue. Neither did the Bush White House. Then, again, it might not matter whether the White House has any credibility, as long as the United Nations has credibility. I jest, of course.

The Times is also right when it says the Patriot Act needs to be “sharply curtailed if not repealed.” I vote for the latter.

And why is it left to the New York Times to call for the repeal of the Patriot Act? Where are the so-called conservative Republicans? Where are the cable news networks? Where is the rest of the media? And where are America’s pastors and churches?

The New York Times and Chuck Baldwin preaching the same sermon: who would have ever believed it?

Who is Behind “Al Qaeda in Iran”?

US-Canada Claim Iran-Al Qaeda Ties Despite US Funding Al Qaeda in Iran for Years

OsamaTVSpeech

As the FBI reels from what now appears to be revelations it was directly involved in the Boston Marathon bombings, a deluge of FBI “success” stories have been “serendipitously” splashed across Western headlines. Among them was an allegedly “foiled” terror attack in Canada, reported to be the work of terrorists supported by “Al-Qaeda operatives in Iran.” The Globe and Mail, in its report, “Canada joins U.S. in alleging al-Qaeda has operatives based in Iran,” states:

“To many, it came as a surprise that the RCMP is alleging that two terror suspects arrested in Canada on Monday were supported by al-Qaeda operatives in Iran.

The Sunni-based al-Qaeda and Shia Iran belong to different branches of Islam that have been at odds historically. But in recent years U.S. officials have formally alleged that Iran has allowed al-Qaeda members to operate out of its territory.”

Both at face value and upon deeper examination, this assertion is utterly absurd, divorced from reality, and indicative of the absolute contempt within which the Western establishment holds the global public. In reality, the West, the US, Saudi Arabia, and Israel in particular, have propped up and perpetuated Al Qaeda for the very purpose of either undermining or overthrowing the governments of Iran, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Algeria, Libya,  Russia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and beyond.

Regarding Iran in particular, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh in his 2007 New Yorker piece titled, “The Redirection: Is the Administration’s new policy benefiting our enemies in the war on terrorism?” would state:

To undermine Iran, which is predominantly Shiite, the Bush Administration has decided, in effect, to reconfigure its priorities in the Middle East. In Lebanon, the Administration has cooperated with Saudi Arabia’s government, which is Sunni, in clandestine operations that are intended to weaken Hezbollah, the Shiite organization that is backed by Iran. The U.S. has also taken part in clandestine operations aimed at Iran and its ally Syria. A by-product of these activities has been the bolstering of Sunni extremist groups that espouse a militant vision of Islam and are hostile to America and sympathetic to Al Qaeda.

In a follow up, Hersh in his 2008 New Yorker piece titled, “Preparing the Battlefield: The Bush Administration steps up its secret moves against Iran,” spelled out a damning indictment of US involvement in bolstering, arming, and funding terror organizations, not linked to, but described as actually being Al Qaeda.

Of American support for Al Qaeda the report states (emphasis added):

The Administration may have been willing to rely on dissident organizations in Iran even when there was reason to believe that the groups had operated against American interests in the past. The use of Baluchi elements, for example, is problematic, Robert Baer, a former C.I.A. clandestine officer who worked for nearly two decades in South Asia and the Middle East, told me. “The Baluchis are Sunni fundamentalists who hate the regime in Tehran, but you can also describe them as Al Qaeda,” Baer told me. “These are guys who cut off the heads of nonbelievers—in this case, it’s Shiite Iranians. The irony is that we’re once again working with Sunni fundamentalists, just as we did in Afghanistan in the nineteen-eighties.” Ramzi Yousef, who was convicted for his role in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who is considered one of the leading planners of the September 11th attacks, are Baluchi Sunni fundamentalists.

The report would continue by stating (emphasis added):

One of the most active and violent anti-regime groups in Iran today is the Jundallah, also known as the Iranian People’s Resistance Movement, which describes itself as a resistance force fighting for the rights of Sunnis in Iran. “This is a vicious Salafi organization whose followers attended the same madrassas as the Taliban and Pakistani extremists,” Nasr told me. “They are suspected of having links to Al Qaeda and they are also thought to be tied to the drug culture.” The Jundallah took responsibility for the bombing of a busload of Revolutionary Guard soldiers in February, 2007. At least eleven Guard members were killed. According to Baer and to press reports, the Jundallah is among the groups in Iran that are benefitting from U.S. support.

The manifestation of this insidious conspiracy can be seen playing out across Syria in which US-backed terrorists openly operating under the flag of Al Qaeda are locked in a catastrophic sectarian bloodbath with the Syrian people and the Syrian state’s closest ally, Iran. The conflict in Syria exposes that the machinations revealed back in 2007-2008 by Hersh, are still being carried out in earnest today.

Clearly, US-Canadian claims that Iran is somehow involved in harboring Al Qaeda within its borders, when it has been the West for years propping them up specifically to overthrow the Iranian government, are utterly absurd. In reality, while the West uses Al Qaeda’s presence both within Iran and along it peripheries to undermine and ultimately overthrow the Iranian government, it in turn uses these very terror organizations to induce paralyzing fear across Western populations in order to consolidate and expand power at home.

Lincoln Must Have Worked for Money Power

Monday, April 09, 2012 – by Staff Report

Abraham Lincoln

New Tim Burton film features Abraham Lincoln, vampires … “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” to premiere in June 2012 … While sitting in the theater waiting for “The Hunger Games” to start, I witnessed the most fantastically ridiculous trailer I’ve seen in a long time. It began when a slender man of large stature with the token beard, chiseled chin and tall top hat appeared on the screen. It was evident that he was Abraham Lincoln. When the trailer began, it looked like this movie might be some interesting, slightly morbid take on our 16th president’s life. Or at least something that loosely follows documented history. But then the trailer cut to scenes of Honest Abe wielding an axe like he attended some brute weapons combat school. The slow-motion shot of Abe with his axe, though borderline cheesy, looked edgy. – Daily Wildcat

Dominant Social Theme: Abraham Lincoln − so great he even kills vampires.

Free-Market Analysis: The cult of Lincoln continues unabated. Now comes another movie glorifying the Great Emancipator − see excerpt above.

It is a “mash up” in which several genres are combined, fictionally. This mash up was initially fiction that combined the historical Lincoln with the vampire sub-genre.

The author was purposefully clever − or just lucky − to have featured Lincoln at a time when the powers-that-be are increasingly desperate for pro-government propaganda. We figure in this era of the Internet, Lincoln looks like a valuable figure to those who want to reinforce the primacy of government.

The dynastic families that apparently run central banks along with their enablers and associates are continually attempting to bolster statist heroes like Lincoln because these elites maintain control via mercantilism. They need government, the bigger the better, to efficaciously move toward a New World Order.

The power elite that wants to run the world is having a tough time of it these days. What we call the Internet Reformation is daily exposing the dominant social themes it uses to frighten people into giving up power and wealth to globalist institutions.

One of the biggest dominant social themes is the one of the “leader.” We are constantly bombarded, in the West, with the idea that good political leadership will lead to good political results.

In fact, the political process is entirely one of price-fixing. Real leadership is actually practiced within the private sector and is the result of Misesian human action, the only kind that counts.

The Invisible Hand of competition makes society work. The dead hand of legal authoritarianism causes economic problems, recessions, depressions and ultimately war.

The power elite has made Lincoln into a hero and the Civil War into an admirable exercise in freeing slaves. But the slavery economy would have ended anyway with the advent of the industrial revolution. It did in England without a war.

The Civil War − the War Between the States − was a terrible affair and probably hurt black people as well as helped them. The legacy of bitterness and hatred was overwhelming and is only gradually being overcome … if it actually is.

From our perspective, Lincoln is no hero. He set the South ablaze, killed innocents and virtually knocked down whole cities. Atlanta has never recovered.

He was also a statist politician who believed in the primacy of the state and was willing to arrest people without cause and trample the Constitution to pursue his goal of keeping the union together.

In this modern era, Lincoln has been made a hero by the neo-Greenbacker movement blossoming around the Internet, especially in the alternative press − led in part by Ellen Brown, author of the Web of Debt.

We believe more in private money and competitive money systems, including private clearinghouses, fractional reserve and anything else that someone wants to try. We believe within this context, silver and gold would find their place, as historical bimetallism always has.

Greenbackers, on the other hand, believe that government itself − if properly run “for the people” can issue fiat money and spend its way to prosperity.

Greenbackers make the case that Lincoln was a Greenbacker. And aficionados of “directed history” make the point that Lincoln, alone, stood against a power elite – European – plot to divide the US into two distinct countries to lessen its clout.

This perspective has made Lincoln a “hero” of sorts, even within the alternative media that should know better.

Politicians are not heroes nor can they be, given what they have to do and the alliances they have to make. Lincoln set in motion a war that murdered millions. He didn’t likely HAVE to start a war, but he did.

Lincoln was at the center of one of the most powerful countries on Earth. The idea that he was a “killer” of European banking bloodsuckers is an attractive one, but hardly the truth.

The Lincoln portrayed by neo-Greenbackers has been debunked by two Austrian-oriented free-market thinkers, historian Thomas DiLorenzo and economist Gary North.

Interestingly, they come to somewhat different conclusions about Lincoln’s statist affections. DiLorenzo believes that Lincoln was pro-central banking and perhaps supported by the New York banking establishment.

Dr. Gary North believes that Lincoln was supportive of gold and silver and disparaging of fiat generally, including Greenbacks.

Whatever the truth, there is no doubt that Lincoln basically suspended the US Constitution and prosecuted a bloody war that he might have been able to find an alternative to.

Bottom line: From our humble point of view, Lincoln was likely in the hip pocket of Money Power.

European Money Power wanted a US war and Lincoln gave it one. When it was over, the US Republican exception was finished. Imperium had arrived. Things have only grown worse since.

The power elite has NEVER started a war, or not for the past 300 years or so, without controlling BOTH sides of the conflict. That’s what directed history tells us. Hitler, Napoleon, the Kaiser (WWI) − in each case, Money Power seemingly controlled and funded the “enemy.”

Why on Earth are we to believe that Lincoln − above all − was somehow immune to this formula? Most likely he was not.

No, he must have prosecuted a war at the bequest of Money Power and when it was done, they threw him over.

It really doesn’t matter whether Lincoln was pro- or anti-Greenbacks. First of all, Greenbackerism doesn’t work in the long run. Governments always print too much money when they have the chance and thus debase the currency.

That’s why fiat schemes eventually wither − just as the dollar reserve system is withering. It doesn’t matter who does the printing. It’s the monopoly that matters.

But secondly and more important, Lincoln was evidently and obviously trapped in the elite dialectic − as all others have been in the modern era. To argue otherwise is surely naïve.

To argue that his death was specifically as a result of the intention to create more Greenbacks is equally naïve. He was part of the Money Power that he was supposedly confronting.

He wasn’t standing alone, heroically, against Money Power. He was a creature of it. He must have been.

Understand this and the Civil War − and his crazed actions − suddenly snap into focus. It was more directed history, and Lincoln was one more puppet. The result of the war, as planned, was the collapse of American exceptionalism and the rise of Leviathan.

Lincoln, with his profound and absurd veneration for a “nation” (see the Gettysburg address) played his role with greater or lesser enthusiasm. Perhaps he knew his fate would be death; perhaps not.

He needed to justify his actions by using the rhetoric of nation-hood, even though a “nation” is an artificial construct. In the deepest sense there are no nations, for nations are constructs of culture. Those who use the term, like Lincoln, are creating an artifical concept to justify a kind of rhetorical cover.

John Kennedy was not assassinated because he signed an executive order for the issuance of Silver Certificates. Alternative historians have written on this folk theory extensively and proved it to be a modern myth. Lincoln was probably not assassinated simply because he somehow stood up against Money Power … elites that, in fact, had likely helped place him where he was.

What we CAN draw from ongoing Greenbacker speculation is that the world is not as simple a place as “Neo-Gs” would like to make out.

In this case, it is most interesting − especially given the upcoming Lincoln movie.

Conclusion: All the world’s a stage / And all the men and women merely players / They have their exits and their entrances / And one man in his time plays many parts … − William Shakespeare

The Elitists and Their Aliens

Anther good article from the Daily Bell. Here is the link to the original E. : http://www.thedailybell.com/3640/VIDEO-Power-Tools-of-Ancient-Builders-12000-Years-Ago

VIDEO: Power Tools of Ancient Builders 12,000 Years Ago

Thursday, February 23, 2012 – by Staff Report

Might the tools and technology of ancient builders have come from distant galaxies? Evidence suggests that an ancient mountaintop fortress in Peru was constructed with laser-like tools… temples at Vijayanagara India were built to harness cosmic energy… and an acoustic chamber in Malta enabled interplanetary communication. If the ancient builders did use advanced technology, could it prove that aliens visited Earth thousands of years ago? – YouTube, from History Channel program

Dominant Social Theme: The aliens did it.

Free-Market Analysis: We keep running into videos of ancient cities built from 50-ton blocks of fused, smooth granite. In this video, we learn that at least one Peruvian fortress is built on such ruins and may be 12,000 years old instead of 700 years old. Wow.

This video (description excerpted above) seems to show clearly once again that the ancients (or very ancients) had power tools and used them to construct their cities.

This should not be so controversial as it seems. There are many evidences (mostly unreported) of power-tools marks on ancient constructions in Egypt. It is increasingly clear that the Egyptians used some sort of artificial light as well, to illuminate the gloom of their many tombs.

Recently, a video report was featured on several widely read ‘Net aggregators showing clearly power-tool marks on stone, just as in Egypt. These reports – and their presentation on YouTube – are fascinating.

What’s discouraging, however, is the almost inevitable accompaniment these days by speculations that this is “alien” technology. The description (above) of the video on ancient power tools (featured below), immediately focuses on “distant galaxies.” Thanks, History Channel.

We figure this is a kind of dominant social theme of the power elite that apparently wants to run the world. As we’ve pointed out in the past, the powers-that-be have a lot invested in making sure that people do not believe that there were ancient cultures that were as good if not better technologically than modern ones.

The elites want one-world government; in order to move forward with this project it must seem inevitable. That’s why the idea that advanced civilizations existed in the past does not get much attention – and in fact seems to be under-reported to say the least.

But thanks to what we call the Internet Reformation, the reports keep coming. Many of the anomalies inherent in the construction of ancient monuments and cities are showing up on the Internet, often in short videos.

The elites, of course, have apparently come up with an answer. (Don’t they always?) As these high-tech anomalies exist but cannot be explained, a virtual extraterrestrial industry has been created. There are seemingly endless numbers of experts willing to comment in books, articles and on TV and radio about the possibility that ETs handed certain technology to ancient humans.

One of the reasons we enjoy investigator Graham Hancock’s speculations about ancient times is because he often comes up with speculative theories focusing on human beings and their putative social and technological interactions rather than alien occurances. In fact, from what we can tell, he believes that there was an ancient human civilization between 10,000 and 20,000 years old that was basically a seafaring one.

When glaciers melted, the cities of this ancient civilization were submerged. Hancock spent a lot of time trying to find evidences of such civilizations and it was he who helped publicize the discovery of the ancient submerged city of Dwarka, off the Indian cost.

This is a monumental discovery. Dwarka is the city from which the revered Hindu God Krishna came. It is probably the single most important find since the ancient city of Troy. Yet the announcement of its existence several years ago and follow-up reports have been strangely muted.

The powers-that-be really don’t want a lot of speculation about ancient technologies. They want people to believe that current society is the apex of human civilization. When existence surfaces of anomalous building technologies, they are to be explained by alien interference and support.

Now, it could be that ancient aliens DID visit earth and have a hand in the marvelous and inexplicable structures that still dot the planet. But we find these explanations usually get a lot more exposure than (slightly) more mundane theses that have been suggested by someone like Hancock.

It is only fair to point out that as he ages, Hancock has grown ever-more radical in terms of theoretical underpinnings. But still, we find this alien meme to be just one more weary theme among many … It’s wrong to affirm the genius of the ancients because to do so would bring up too many questions about the modern day. People might start to compare societies and decide this wasn’t the best of all possible worlds after all.

Decide for yourself. Here’s the video.

Straight From Oz: Real Reason Elites Intend to Legalize Some Drugs?

I really appreciate the folks over at The Daily Bell, This article is very insightful. Take the brain out for a stroll and stretch a few of those synapses 🙂 E.

“““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““““`

Wednesday, April 04, 2012 – by Staff Report

Australia foreign minister calls for decriminalisation of low-level drug use … Bob Carr, Australia’s foreign minister, whose brother died after a heroin overdose, has urged the decriminalisation of low-level drug use, after a report concluded the war on the scourge was lost … “A bit of modest decriminalisation, de facto decriminalisation at the edges, simply freeing up police to be doing the things they ought to be doing, would be a sensible way of going about it,” Mr Carr told the Seven Network. He added to fellow broadcaster ABC that by doing so “we wouldn’t have armies of police patrolling outside nightclubs and pubs hoping to snatch someone who’s got an ecstasy tablet in his or her pocket or purse”. – UK Telegraph

Dominant Social Theme: This drug war hasn’t worked. Time to be more reasonable about it.

Free-Market Analysis: Last week we thought we detected a trend: The top elites via politicians and the mainstream media in the US were embarked on creating some sort of dominant social theme aimed at legalizing some drugs.

At the time we didn’t understand why this promotion would be launched, given that the elites have shown no compunction about putting people in jail for years for doing something as innocent as smoking a marijuana cigarette.

We received interesting and insightful feedbacks to our questions about this seeming emergent elite meme, but as is so often the case, a little more time seems to be revealing what may be the truth of the matter. You can see the initial article here: Have Elites Decided to Legalize Some US Drugs?

The US has jailed tens of millions in the past decade over drug infractions. But now we seem to be seeing some re-thinking … First Pat Robertson writes about legalizing marijuana and then CNN‘s Fareed Zakaria writes about it as well. And that’s not all.

A random search of Google shows that a bill to legalize medical marijuana is moving forward in the Tennessee House and that the Rhode Island Senate is discussing legalization as well. In Yakima, Washington, a former Seattle police chief and a former state senator will hold a public forum on the legalization of marijuana.

Now, in this article excerpted above, we think that the purpose of this theme, if that’s what it is, is beginning to emerge. Australian foreign minister Bob Carr may have given the game away by referring to, “A bit of modest decriminalisation, de facto decriminalisation at the edges, simply freeing up police to be doing the things they ought to be doing… “

What Carr is saying is that the “authorities” are stretched. The system, he is indicating, has other priorities that are not being addressed because of the “war on drugs.”

What might those priorities be? We can only speculate, but as the Western world tends to move in lockstep when it comes to such things (given that nation-states are pretty much an illusion at this point), we would tend to think that a decision has been made to point the resources of Leviathan at the emergent freedom movement that is roiling the Western world.

We’ve long predicted this moment, of course, writing over and over that the Internet is a kind of Gutenberg Press and that the same sort of society-transforming trends are taking place now as did back then.

Then, from what we can tell, the elites started a number of wars, including a so-called Peasant War that lasted about 30 years. War is a great way to control the masses because all the rules of civil society can be thrown out based on “security considerations.” That’s what is happening today, as then.

There are many other parallels between the circumstances surrounding the Gutenberg Press and today’s Internet. We’ve often mentioned them in these pages. Copyright was invented in Britain after the advent of the press in order to slow the transmission of information – and now today, again, copyright is being used, this time as a weapon against the Internet.

The elites are neither imaginative nor facile. They tend to select repetitious stratagems from a sparse and brutal tool kit. They are not disappointing now. Brutality is increasingly the order of the day. Wars, depression, torture and general intimidation via Draconian laws and regulation are the order of the day.

People are perpetually and increasingly astonished at what’s going on. Just the other day, CNN leftist Rachel Maddow appeared on-air with a rant against the Supreme Court for determining one could be strip-searched at the discretion of US law enforcement no matter the reason.

Maddow laid the blame on a “conservative” Supreme Court but, in fact, the stale right-left paradigm has no relevance to what’s going on. The emergent fascist state throughout the West has all the hallmarks of a deliberate policy.

Of course, Maddow would have to admit that there are dynastic families based out of the City of London that want to run the world and are willing to create a kind of generalized Western Third Reich to do so.

The power elite that wants to rule the world has been destabilizing the US for several centuries – really ever since it came together as a libertarian republic. It took the Civil War to really set in motion the trends that have blossomed todayincluding a massive military-industrial complex, an intel-industrial complex and a penal-industrial complex.

Australia has all the signal hallmarks of an emergent fascist state including a feverish green lobby, incandescently dishonest politics, an emergent carbon tax, etc. But we have to think that the “stick” of this decriminalization is aimed at the US.

The emergent authoritarian TSA has just ordered 400 million hollow-point bullets and the US is building a trans-national spy facility out in Utah at a cost of billions. The elites have always hated and feared US exceptionalism and its general republican orientation.

Under former President George W. Bush, the US also built numerous detention facilities across the US, giving the contract to Dick Cheney’s Halliburton. While there is a large intimidation/propaganda factor to all of this, the elites are probably dead serious about a transfer of resources away from petty drug matters in order to focus on social unrest, “domestic security” and “the war on terror.”

Does the real reason for the War on Drugs stand revealed? Was it really intended simply to build a kind of trans-national gulag that can now be employed for the security purposes of the elite? Did people really waste away their lives in prison simply to provide a pretext for the construction of a blossoming Security State?

Conclusion: Having created and staffed this monstrosity, are the top elites now prepared to put it to “better” use. Think about the “great debates” of prohibition that have raged for the past century, the billions of words and books and white papers that have been written. Was it really nothing but an excuse? And if so, how they must have laughed …

Schwarzenegger’s “Prison Planet”

Original Article: http://www.thedailybell.com/3712/Schwarzenegger-Sells-Out-to-the-Horrible-UN-Backed-Sustainia-Project

Monday, March 19, 2012 – by Staff Report

Arnold Schwarzenneger

Schwarzenegger: Time for a New Breed of Action Heroes … The former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger announces today that he will serve as Honorary Chair for the Sustainia Award alongside EU Commissioner Connie Hedeggard, IPPC Chairman Dr. Rajenda K. Pachauri and former Prime Minister of Norway Gro Harlem Brundtland. The Award is part of a new initiative to develop the world’s first realistic model of a sustainable world in 2020 – and identify the companies and persons who can make it real. As long as we can’t see or feel what a sustainable society is, we will never succeed in convincing decision makers to make the changes necessary. The sustainable private and public solutions must be recognized and scaled up – and we need a tangible idea of how it will improve quality of life for people and communities around the world. – UN Global Compact

Dominant Social Theme: With the Governator on our side, we can build a sustainable planet.

Free-Market Analysis: Arnold Schwarzenegger wants to rule the world. First, he was the world’s best bodybuilder and then the biggest movie star. After that he was the governator of the Biggest Show on Earth (California) and now he has signed on to be the award presenter for the startlingly ominous Sustainia project.

Schwarzenegger comes across as a caricature, like a cartoon character, a blow-up mannequin with a silly accent. For these reasons, he seems non-threatening. Also, he has been very successful, and people forgive success.

But Schwarzenegger’s deals were apparently cut with the power elite long ago. It wasn’t so well understood at the time, but Schwarzenegger’s 1990s movies presaged much of the growing police state in America and throughout the West. Coincidence?

This move star was featured in a number of films about the near future that contained many of the “security” techniques now coming on line. Just take a look at any of his tremendously successful Terminator movies or movies such as “Total Recall,” made in 1990.

This is one reason that those who run Hollywood are so focused on copyright law. Hollywood movies are distributed around the world. Rich or poor, and no matter the language, people watch the same fare and are conditioned to look at the world the same way.

The power elite uses only the biggest stage for its various dominant social themes – the fear-based promotions that seek to move the world’s populations toward global government.

These promotions feature food, water and energy. By demonizing carbon dioxide, for instance, the power elite is trying to make people suspicious of one of the two fundamental gases necessary for life. They are nothing if not ambitious and bold.

The UN is emerging once more as a main engine as the power elite makes its final push toward world government. This is one reason why we don’t see any schism in the power elite itself, as many maintain. The goals seem harmonious at the topmost level.

Yet when one reads about this horrible project, one might be struck by the pains that UN leaders are taking to distance themselves from it. This is part of the UN’s larger psyops war to convince people that the fascist mentality animating the current UN leadership is shared by NGOs, businesses big and small, political leaders and, of course, “the children.” The UN speaks for all of us, in other words.

It’s part of our lives now, as natural as breathing. We simply accept that the leaders of 100 or 200 nations casually get together in various posh getaways to sign nonsensical agreements supporting things like a “zero-carbon earth.”

Flush from its control of monopoly-fiat central banking around the world, the topmost elite behind these manipulations is seeking to build world government as fast as possible. What’s the rush? Well … we tend to believe that the Internet itself, and what we call the Internet Reformation, has forced the hand of these dynastic families.

As the Internet Reformation itself gathers force and informs people of the Way the World Really Works, the elites are losing their best tool – the memes they are able to establish through control of the world’s media.

As these memes founder and fail, the elites turn to war and Draconian legislation to force people to conform to their vision of a single, worldwide “community.” The UN has re-emerged as the lead instrument for this repression after a period of apparent lassitude.

The UN and its top people are everywhere these days, working in “concert” with various governments, NGOs and “celebrities.” This Sustainia gambit is just one of the same, and has all the patterns of an elite meme.

It’s like the unveiling of a new movie (maybe no coincidence). And it stars the person who was once the world’s biggest Hollywood star and features a cast of characters that include the world’s top corporations and non-profits, and of course, the world’s “leading thinkers.”

A UN press release tells us about this new, bold initiative. (And what a contemptuous name it is, like the very first thing someone scribbled down on a napkin during a brainstorming session on how to further confuse the “sheeple.”) Not surprisingly, the outfit issuing a press release on the new award’s presentation is the “UN Global Compact.”

The United Nations Global Compact is a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

From the press release, we learn that the former “Governator” believes the era of talk is over and that it is time for action. “The companies, institutions and persons who represent green solutions are the new breed of action heroes whose efforts we should celebrate and encourage,” he is quoted as saying.

Just as it is in the movies, Schwarzenegger has to share credit with others that get equivalent billing in this new production. “He is joined by three of the world’s most prominent sustainability leaders,” we are told.

First is European Commissioner for Climate Action Connie Hedegaard, Chairman of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC); second is Dr. Rajendra K. Pachauri, Former Prime Minister of Norway and Former Director General of WHO; and third is Gro Harlem Brundtland, who founded the global sustainability agenda 20 years ago at the first Rio conference in 1992 on sustainable development.

Schwarzenegger is gracious about being associated with these three. “Being a champion in body building, in movies or in politics, I learned that the key to success is people power – motivating and inspiring everyone to be a part of the solution, not just part of the problem.”

And he adds, “The Sustainia initiative and the awards that recognize innovative people and technologies can help our campaign to make communities healthier, wealthier, and more sustainable for generations to come.”

So what IS Sustainia? The Sustainia web page tells us that “Sustainia is a virtual model of the world we could create if we implemented ready and available solutions to our existing cities, homes, energy systems and transportation. Developers have started the process of building Sustainia. In the coming months, everyone with an Internet access can visit, inhabit and help build the new world on a virtual construction site.”

From the website, we learn that “The vision of Sustainia is presented in the book ‘Guide to Sustainia,’ which was developed by Scandinavian think tank Monday Morning in a collaborative effort with 20 global companies (including Microsoft, GE, DNV, Philips Lighting, DONG Energy, Tetra Pak, Cisco and others) and experts.” Here’s the “problem” as enunciated by Sustainia in this “Guidebook” …

Getting to Sustainia won’t happen overnight … Arriving safely requires many choices and actions. Most importantly: We cannot make it there by ourselves. We have to go together, all of us.

The warming planet and depletion of natural capital are global problems in a globalized world. The response has to be coordinated, collaborative, and carefully planned. Environmental problems are interconnected through a well-balanced and complex global system. If we alter one part, we risk impacting other parts – or tipping the balance altogether.

Furthermore, the effects follow specific time-bound trajectories. Global emissions of CO2 must be reduced by at least 50-85% in 2050. If we don’t initiate the sustainable trajectory today, so that emissions peak in 2020, we will not be able to halt global warming below dangerous levels.

The link to nature was, unfortunately, not generally reflected in the “old” economic model. The price of a product was based on the cost of human resources and materials, not the cost of pollution of our common natural good. In 2020, this has started to change, and that is one of the most important pathways to create a sustainable economy.

The notion that we do not have the tools to confront the environmental crisis changed in the 2000s. Numerous projections and forecasts told us we had most of the needed technologies, policies, and information. While there is no “silver bullet” – a single technology or political agreement that will solve the problem – an array of complementary measures do exist.

We know what to do. Fixing the problem comes down to the human factors.

But what if there is no “problem” to begin with? If there is global warming – and more and more evidence shows us there is NOT – then it is likely a condition beyond human control and one that, in any case, may be positive for the Earth’s flora and fauna in the long term.

One can surely make a case that a hot Earth is more sympathetic to life than a cold one. And the Earth has obviously been warmer in the past than at present.

On the other hand, the powers-that-be have taken to calling this meme-of-memes “climate change.” So maybe they are hedging their bets. Maybe the Earth is starting to COOL.

Weather always changes. By turning changeable weather patterns into a kind of crisis and associating this crisis directly with “every breath” people take, the elites have attempted to create an ongoing state of emergency that can be used to justify even the most Draconian laws and repression. It is a kind of key they hope will unlock the New World Order.

How does Schwarzenegger fit into this?

“The key elements in the collaboration between Sustainia and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s … initiative consist of the following:

1. To Identify, Design, Implement, Measure, Report and Verify the actions undertaken by regions and their positive impacts for a sustainable world.

2. On an annual basis, to identify the most successful sustainable solutions and award the solution with the most potential to be implemented and disseminated.

3. The establishment of a new powerful global forum for ambitious action and commitment to sustainable development that will provide a new innovative and creative annual platform for gathering global leaders.

Sustainia will be presented to world leaders in June this year, at the Rio+20 Summit in Brazil, alongside an inspiration catalogue – “Sustainia100” – containing 100 concrete solutions and technologies that will help make “Sustainia” real.

Naked apes are uniquely susceptible to shame and guilt, and the global warming campaign is cleverly suited to play off both emotions. But there is a larger game afoot.

The idea, in our view, is to build a world government that will control every part of the actions and resource utilization of billions of people. It will literally be, in an apt phrase, a “prison planet.”

Eventually, over time, much of this population will be reduced, violently or otherwise, and the rest shall be susceptible to genetic manipulation. See the so-called Georgia Guidestones for a chilling prophecy in this regard.

Conclusion: This is the future that Arnold Schwarzenegger has decided to assist in his need for attention, ego gratification and additional wealth.

UN Strikes Back at ‘Net With ITU Agency?

Saturday, March 24, 2012 – by Anthony Wile

Anthony Wile

The Empire is most definitely striking back. Between the huge and secretive data center being built in Utah to intercept and analyze the world’s communications, Barack Obama‘s newly signed executive order that allows him “emergency” powers and the near-passage of SOPA, the powers-that-be are making it clear they intend to try to control, more and more effectively, what we call the Internet Reformation.

Now here comes “Connect to Americas,” presented by the UN‘s International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The summit, hosted in Panama, will gather together countries in the Caribbean to discuss technology.

It sounds like some sort of international company but actually it’s a huge but low-key UN bureaucracy – and it’s the latest danger to Internet freedom and maybe the gravest.

You know it’s got to be bad when an article on the AOL’s Huffington Post warns about it. AOL/Huffington from an editorial standpoint is not exactly known to be alarmist about what are laughingly referred to as “conspiracy theories.”

But the article, written by Edward J. Black, President and CEO, Computer and Communications Industry, is a sober warning about yet another world-spanning UN facility that has the ability to create treaties affecting everyone.

The article is entitled, “UN’s ITU Could Become Next Internet Freedom Threat” and Black makes the case that those in the US who are concerned about Internet censorship need to look abroad as well as at home.

Once filtering, censorship or traffic-redirecting tools are developed and deployed, they can be used for a variety of reasons – not just for the purposes that first got the regulations enacted. Some of the lessons learned from the dangers of legislation like SOPA should be the need for forbearance and a well-researched, multi-stakeholder derived policy to avoid unintended consequences.

We’ve been concerned about similar efforts that could result in a treaty giving a United Nations agency new power to “manage” the Internet. Russia, along with China, North Korea, Iran and other notably nondemocratic countries, are advocating for international regulation of the Internet through a treaty-based organization in the United Nations –  the International Telecommunications Union (ITU).

These countries are also asking for a “cyber arms control treaty.” But the real goal is to give governments the international legal cover to declare information they don’t like a “danger to the state” and therefore the equivalent of cyber warfare so they can censor it. An article in the World Affairs Journal outlines Russia’s patient, organized effort over more than a decade.

The article warns, “If diplomats are not careful, one by-product of a push to regulate state-on-state cyber conflict could be a new effort to subject Internet activity to political scrutiny.” It points to the efforts at the ITU as a telling example of this trend.

These countries have also pushed this agenda in other venues:

• Suggesting at the UN General Assembly in 2011 that a code of conduct for Internet use should be mandated in international law (and conveniently giving the governments of the world the right to determine what is outside the limits of the code);

• Proposing to create a new UN agency that would be a ‘super agency’ responsible for managing all aspects of Internet policy – with, naturally, governments having the only vote.

There are warning signs that 2012 is lining up to be particularly important in this fight.

The ITU is certainly a good vehicle for these sorts of maneuverings. It’s brief is almost ludicrously broad and vague and there are plans in the works for what Black calls a “major ITU conference.”

The conference is to be entitled, ominously, the “World Conference on International Telecommunications (WCIT),” and according to Black, it will be used by China and Russia to make a play for expanded authority over the Internet.

Black cites America’s FCC Commissioner, Robert McDowell, who wrote in a notable Wall Street Journal editorial last month, that proponents of Internet freedom “need to play offense not just defense by encouraging all interested parties, including governments and the ITU, to examine the economic and social benefits of the open Internet and to broaden the multi-stakeholder approach to managing Internet concerns.”

Now break that last wordy sentence down into normal English and what McDowell is saying is that people concerned about the Internet ought to use the agencies of state control to preserve and expand freedom.

I have a more cynical vision of this kind of argument. Black is probably correct that 2012 is an important year for the foes of the Internet who want a controlled, rigid and highly authoritarian electronic facility.

But I’m not sure that the ITU is the place where this struggle will play out. No, the ITU is likely going to be host to a kind of power-elite dialectic that will pit the forces of Internet “freedom” against the forces of control and repression. This is fairly predictable.

Out of this conversation, no doubt, will come a “compromise” that will be authoritarian in its conclusions though not as bad as some fear. It will be implemented via treaty and then expanded on until it will be terrible indeed. That’s how thepower elite dialectic works.

You see, there is a power elite that wants to run the world, even if we don’t like to admit it. But reality is what it is.The Internet, a mistake from their point of view, and a big one, is standing in their way. They are attacking it on all fronts to try to damp down what we have called the “Internet Reformation.”

In fact, from my point of view, the Internet Reformation is something much larger than any treaty or even any global accord. The old men of the power elite are fighting hard to maintain their information and the power to utilize the propaganda of their dominant social themes.

These fear-based memes like global warming and Peak Oil, are intended to frighten middle classes into giving up power and wealth to global facilities specially prepared to administer various forms international authority.

This approach worked well in the 20th century but is not working so well in the 21st. In fact, as more and more information has emerged on the Internet about the Way the World Really Works, the elites are increasingly turning toward war, economic chaos and authoritarian legislation to retain their grip.

The trouble with global technological revolutions such as the one represented by the ‘Net is that they are extremely broad based and hard to supervise. That’s why we’ve argued that it will take decades to fully control what technology has unlocked, and by then new technologies may cause nerw problems for the power elite.

There are forces in the world that have an agenda that is at once globalist and repressive. These forces may go back hundreds or even thousands of years. But in fact that is just the point. History seems to show us that sometimes elite control is more effective and all-encompassing than at other times.

Here, in these modest pages, we’ve argued that the Internet has sparked a mysterious “hive mind” process and that the truth-telling the Internet has unlocked has reverberations beyond what can be easily explained. I would argue that it is somewhat simplistic to view the Internet simply as a kind of electronic tablet that can be blocked or erased at will.

The interactions between humans and the facilities of the Internet are likely a good deal richer and more complex than is commonly presented. And there is the tool-making issue as well. Humans tend to exploit cutting-edge tools to their fullest, sooner or later.

A facility like the Internet is complex indeed, and it is a moving target. Yesterday’s censorship may not be applicable tomorrow. China’s leaders, for instance, now demand that all Internet users use their real name. Yet the Internet in its current incarnation is an essentially anonymous device.

In the US, a huge information-gathering facility is being built, as I mentioned at the beginnning of this article, but once again, I would argue that such efforts do not fully acknowledge the complexity of the interactions between the Internet and its human users.

The Internet is unusual because it allows people, especially young people, to interact with it independently. Whole, complex facilities can be created and then connected to the larger system. Not so long ago we wrote about a BBCarticle suggesting that the Internet ought to be torn down and rebuilt in a way that would make it more conducive to monitoring. Too late.

The real problem with Internet authoritarian control is that in the modern era, the one-world conspiracy has reiled on persuasion and the use of dominant social themes when it comes to creating globalism. The powers-that-be have used these tools because to show the naked face of aggression is to invite confrontation.

The more obvious the attempts are at censoring and controlling the Internet, the more fierce the push-back will become. Additionally, as governments, at the behest of top-level power elite, make these attempts, the good will between citizens and the authorities is eroded. This is a negative trend for those in charge.

Add to this that the Internet is a moving target and that authoritarian solutions will constantly have to be upgraded and redesigned and you have a recipe for continual conflict on a legislative level and also within a wider sphere. That sort of conflict does not bode well for an elite that has relied on suasion and stealth to pursue its agenda in the past.

Ultimately, as we often point out here at DB, the Internet is a process not an episode. Even an effective solution that retards certain aspects of Internet communication may not work so well tomorrow. It is no doubt a frustrating situation for those who want to control the world and steer it in certain directions.

They should have been more careful, but apparently they missed the ‘Net’s initial significance. Now they are playing “catch up.” This is something to keep in mind.

America’s Archons reincarnate Rome — Looting without Borders

DATE: 20 MARCH 2012POSTED BY : BY KEVIN CARSON

More than a year ago, I reported on the mission of Frank “Bagman of Empire” Wisner to Egypt (“Egypt: Let the Looting Begin,” Center for a Stateless Society, February 4, 2011). Wisner, formerly of Enron and AIG, was Obama’s plenipotentiary to Egypt, tasked with managing the post-Mubarak succession in as U.S.-friendly a direction as possible.

Wisner’s father, by the way, was another Bagman of Empire; as a founding spook of the OSS and CIA he managed the overthrow of Arbenz and Mossadegh. Wisner had co-chaired (with another noted bagman, James Baker) a commission that developed a post-Saddam vision for the governance of Iraq. Just reading the “100 Orders” issued by the Coalition Provisional Authority, and the corporate looting pursuant tothem, should give you a good idea of Wisner’s agenda.

Today’s column is about another Bagman of Empire: John Timoney.

Richard Moore wrote twelve years ago, in “Escaping the Matrix” (Whole Earth Catalog, Summer 2000) about the Empire importing technologies of repression from the imperial Periphery to the Core and using them to manage the domestic population.

It’s nothing new. It’s as old as Caesar bringing the legions from Gaul back across the Rubicon. But now it’s being done in reverse. A high-level maestro of political repression from the American domestic police apparatus has found lucrative employment in Bahrain.

Timoney had already established himself as a notable carpetbagger of repression within the United States. As Philadelphia’s Police Commissioner, he supervised the police riot at the August 2000 GOP Convention. His Gestapo tactics there, and later as police chief of Miami during the anti-FTAA protests, were dress rehearsals for the police repression of Occupy protests in hundreds of cities across America: Gassing and breaking the bones of unarmed people, pre-emptively arresting organizers, planting evidence — you name it, Timoney’s been there and done that.

From the outset of the Seattle movement, Timoney was its J. Edgar Hoover — warning shrilly of the “International Anarchist Conspiracy” to disrupt meetings of neo-liberal institutions. He agitated relentlessly to apply the RICO statute to the anti-Globalization movement. Timoney is a close associate of Tom Ridge, going back to the latter’s provision of political cover to Timoney’s police riot, and after the post-9/11 establishment of the US Department of Homeland Security was rumored to have close informal ties to much of the Department’s leadership. Although his prospects for high office in Fatherland Security never materialized, he went on to an extremely lucrative career as lobbyist for the security-industrial complex. And as police chief of Miami, he got a chance to further refine his jackbooted thuggery from the Philly days.

Now Timoney — along with fellow carpetbagger John Yates, assistant commissioner of the London Metropolitan Police — serves the Bahraini royal government. You know, the despotic Bahraini state that’s been engaged in brutal and murderous repression of the Arab Spring uprising there for the past year. Timoney, it seems, is for sale to any petty tyrant with petrodollars burning a hole in his pocket and wants to do a really high-class job (ahem) “using chemical weapons against his own people.”

It’s been said that to a man with a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. Give people a bunch of big hammers, and they’ll start looking for new ways to use them. Likewise, if your Empire has a need for torturers, thugs and detention camp guards, you’ll find all the volunteers you need to keep Abu Ghraib, Gitmo or Philly running. But once you have those guys (and gals, pace Lynndie England), they become an established constituency.

Somebody once quipped that the French Empire was built by retired army officers. Marijuana criminalization began, in part, as patronage for G-men unemployed by the repeal of Prohibition. Sometimes, likewise, MPs who get a taste for inflicting pain and domination on the powerless in squalid holes like Abu Ghraib or Baghram AFB come home and decide to become cops or prison guards (remember Dim in A Clockwork Orange?). And sometimes American cops become advisers to foreign despots’ secret police.

All uniformed thugs are brothers under the skin. And repression is becoming an industry without borders.

Hush-Hush Congressional Research Report: The Myth of Social Mobility … Not

Original article: http://www.thedailybell.com/3713/Hush-Hush-Congressional-Research-Report-The-Myth-of-Social-Mobility

Monday, March 19, 2012 – by Staff Report
Income inequality in the United States is more pronounced than in other developed countries, a new report from the Congressional Research Service finds, while the possibility of economic mobility is more constrained than commonly believed. “Based on the limited data that are comparable across nations, the U.S. income distribution appears to be among the most uneven of all major industrialized countries and the United States appears to be among the nations experiencing the greatest increases in measures of inequality.” – FAS Secrecy News Blog

Dominant Social Theme: In America, anyone can get rich.

Free-Market Analysis: Here’s a big myth: US social mobility is fungible and anyone can grow rich. Now a report from the Congressional Research Service has found that income inequality in the US is extreme and growing worse. Also, that where you’re born, socially speaking, is where you stay.Did you read about these findings? Didn’t think so. For one reason or another, Congress doesn’t seem inclined to make a big fuss over this information. Wonder why.Actually not. We think we know why. Congress’s approval ratings are stuck near the SINGLE DIGITS and have stayed there for years. This is because most people in the US likely see Congress as an instrument of repression and the increasingly savage status quo. There is a lot of truth to this assumption. Who at this point would want to work in Congress but a sociopath or psychopath? And there is plenty of evidence that the US Congress includes both.• In Afghanistan and Iraq, the US has been using depleted uranium weapons regularly for nearly a decade. The poisoning of these poor people has been so intense that many die of obscure cancers and mothers are routinely told not to have babies. Neither of these wars has been successful, and the depleted uranium poisoning has injured hundreds of thousands of returning US vets as well.• In the US, one third of citizens now have some exposure to the criminal justice system by the time they are in their early 20s. The US system of jurisprudence has resulted in some six million behind bars at any one time, more than half the world’s population of incarcerated individuals. The costs in damaged lives and families in tremendous. Routinely, as well, innocent people are put to death, victims of Draconian US “justice.”• The US population on food stamps has exploded, with some 50 million using food stamps now. And ALL US citizens eventually come to use some form of government assistance, especially if one includes Social Security. Medicare is another ubiquitous and badly run program encouraging citizen dependence on the government.• The Federal Reserve system, authorized and overseen by Congress, is responsible for the degradation of the US dollar by some 95-99 percent. The entire dollar reserve system is now on the verge of unraveling as the “depression” of the 2000s winds on with no real signs of abating.• The income tax system, and taxes generally, remove up to 50 percent or more of a person’s disposable income when one actually peers behind the various charges that are leveled on producers and consumers. Products are taxed all the way through the supply chain, so that the end price may reflect dozens of tax charges. This is but a tiny sampling of the kinds of results that Congress has been partially responsible for. The executive wing, of course, is equally culpable, as is the US Supreme Court. Those born in the US are subject to millions of regulations and thousands of taxes that they had no say in creating. They are saddled, as well, with the US’s “national debt.”The US has likely reached a point of no return when it comes to its regulatory, tax and monetary structure. The regulatory structure especially tends to freeze people into place from an economic and social mobility standpoint. This is, of course, exactly what the larger power elite wants. The apparent handful of dynastic families that control central banking around the world use regulation, taxes and fiat-money inflation as a way of ensuring that the billions beneath them have little hope of advancement.Yes, a tiny group of people seeks to implement world government apparently and uses various methodologies of control to shove the world and its billions in this direction. This is why societies around the world, including Western societies, are increasingly dysfunctional. This is a change from several hundred years ago when the US itself emerged as the hope of the world for social mobility. This is also why the US has been under tremendous attack from the elites for nearly its entire existence. The US “exception” shows us how a somewhat “free” society can actually work. Free banking, an economy based in part on gold and silver and a lack of formal regulation all catapulted the US into the topmost tier of the world’s wealthiest countries. But by the 20th century, the elites unceasing attacks on the libertarian positioning of the US had taken their toll. The proximate cause was the Civil War, which put the New York Banks (the European axis) in charge of the federation. From there it was just a matter of time.In the 20th century, the authoritarians struck. The silver standard, removed in the 19th century, was suddenly buttressed by the graduated income tax and the Federal Reserve. Two world wars effectively militarized the entire US, gave rise to an empire and a shadow world government managed out of the City of London with branches in Washington DC, Tel Aviv and elsewhere. The empire that the US has become is commonly seen by the bought-and-paid-for media as the apogee of sociopolitical and cultural achievement. But as we have pointed out, empire is nothing more than the last exhalation of a dying and corrupt culture. It is the time PRECEDING empire during which cultures achieve greatness, when people have social mobility and control over their own lives, inspirations and inventions. Empire is inevitably a military excrescence that takes each positive enumeration of civil society and weaponizes it.Pre-empire cultures are great places to live. But cultures that celebrate empire are miserable ones, full of hate, fear, paranoia and socio-economic and political control. The US, now in the empire phase, is failing fast. US citizens can only look back to the pre-Civil War period for a glimpse of the freedom that created a great country that spanned the world with its agricultural, cultural and mechanical gifts. The phrase “Yankee ingenuity” became a cliché for a reason.Above all, the US, “free banking” economic system based on gold and silver was the envy of the world. Though the power elite owned both gold and silver, it is evident and obvious that the elites could NOT control the US economy no matter how much gold and silver they owned. In fact, this directly rebuts Greenbackers’ contention that those who own the gold and silver will control the world even within a free-market economy. In the US, they didn’t and could not. This helps bear out the truth of Austrian economiststhat it is impossible to sustain unwanted monopolies in free market societies. They needed to use force, as they always do, to control society. First they fought the Civil War to destroy private banking and private money and to build up Wall Street and the power of the New York banks. After this in rapid succession came the graduated income tax, the Federal Reserve and various world wars. And now social mobility is all-but-frozen in the US. The power elite has been immeasurably aided in their quest to subvert the freedoms in the US by the various myths that still exist in the country regarding the way it used to operate. The article, excerpted above, makes this point as well:“Americans may be less concerned about inequality in the distribution of income at any given point in time partly because of a belief that everyone has an equal opportunity to move up the income ladder. A review of the literature suggests that Americans’ perceptions about their likelihood of changing position in the income distribution may be exaggerated,” the CRS report said.“It … appears that going from rags to riches is relatively rare; that is, where one starts in the income distribution greatly influences where one ends up.” See The U.S. Income Distribution and Mobility: Trends and International Comparisons, March 7, 2012.We have long been aware of the increasing inequities in US society and the “welfarization” of the economy that has accompanied its authoritarianism militarization and regulatory and penal deconstruction. But eventually, the new realities probably will begin to wake up more people in the US.When they do, we expect there may be considerable social trouble. People currently still anticipate the current “recession” will end. They cannot be blamed, struggling as they are, for not understanding that the power elite has apparently turned a fundamental page. The elites now seek frank world government from what we can tell and are promoting economic disaster, regional and world wars and increased authoritarianism around the world in order to realize their goals. Out of chaos … order. The problem, as we long have pointed out, is that what we call the Internet Reformation is increasingly educating and radicalizing much of the ‘Net intelligentsia. This is a critical breech in the elite’s plans.

Conclusion: The successful conclusion of the elite’s plans is by no means certain, even though they try to make it appear so. They have certainly managed to deconstruct US exceptionalism and make the lives of many a living hell. But even this can be reversed over time and we don’t count out the possibility that it shall be.
